The month starts off with the Full Moon in Aries on October 6th! The Full Moon in Aries is ruled by Mars. So think of this lunation as one that is meant to ignite a fire under us. It’s a time time for courage, a time to really celebrate yourself, a time to reflect on how far you’ve come in your own story this past year. It’s a time to celebrate taking action.
On October 6th we also have Mercury entering Scorpio. This is going to feel very different from Mercury in Libra. Mercury in Libra is very much ‘peace keeper vibes’ – it’s more focused on the group over the individual. This is ‘I would rather not ruffle feathers’ energy. Mercury in Scorpio feels more sharp, more pointed. It’s more of a ‘say what you feel’ kind of energy. Moving from Mercury in Libra where the collective experience is more of of the ‘I don’t really want confront things’ to Scorpio’s ‘no – we’re going to talk about it’ will feel like a notable shift.
On October 10th & October 11th [Exact date/time contingent on your location] we have Venus opposing Saturn. Venus represents luxury, beauty, what we love, what brings us joy, money and Saturn represents restriction, discipline and responsibilities. Oppositions often feel like a tug of war. And so to me this feels like Saturn could be saying ‘no’ to something that you were looking forward to because ‘responsibilities’ come first. I would be especially aware of this transit if your Timelord of the year is Venus or Saturn – and also if this opposition is happening in a houses ruled by that Timelord. If you don’t know what Timelord means – your Timelord is determined by a timing technique known as Annual Profections and is used with the Whole Sign House System.
October 13th Venus enters Libra. Venus rules Libra. This is going to feel like a breath of fresh air – a total vibe shift. Venus is fallen in Virgo – so not well supported. This energy has felt more knit-picky and hypercritical. Venus in Libra just feels good. I do want to note that the Venus ingress into Libra takes place later in the day so Venus will spend part of the day sitting at the 29th degree of Virgo. The 29th degree is known as an anoretic degree. When a personal planet is sitting at 29th degree it could feel like something is ending or being brought to completion. This could also manifest as like relationship frustrations. Just something to be aware of and mindful of – that feeling will pass when Venus moves into Libra. We also have the Moon conjunct Jupiter in Cancer on the 13th. Moon rules Cancer, Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. Use that supportive energy to your advantage!
And this brings us into a few days in the month that are honestly going to feel pretty supportive. On October 14th, we have 4 planets in well supported placements. Venus is in Libra [Venus rules Libra], Mars is in Scorpio [Mars rules Scorpio], and we also have the Moon [Moon rules Cancer] conjunct Jupiter [Exalted in Cancer] in Cancer. Both benefic planets are in well supported and well resourced positions and Mars [a malefic planet] is also in one of its most supported and resourced positions as well.
That said, we have a couple of aspects that could be a little more challenging that day as well. As soon as Venus enters Libra she finds herself in opposition with Neptune in Aries. Neptunes energy can feel more dreamy but can also leave us feeling a little more disillusioned or like we are in a fog and with that it’s just something to be aware of. We also see Pluto stationing Direct that day. Pluto is a generational planet. If you have any personal planets in the first roughly 4 degrees of fixed signs [Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius] you may feel Pluto stationing direct more but overall this likely won’t affect most of us!
October 20th, we have Mercury conjunct Mars.
October 21st, we have the New Moon in Libra. [This may shift based on where you are located] The New Moon in Libra is going to be a really supportive lunation for setting intentions. I encourage you to take a look at what house you personally have Libra in in your chart and set intentions around what you are calling in that is in alignment with that house in your chart. It’s a good day to even just speak your intentions out loud to the universe or to perform a New Moon intention setting ritual if that’s more your vibe!
On October 22nd, we have Neptune re-entering Pisces. Saturn and Neptune are both back in Pisces for one final pass before they move into Aries for good. Neptune has spent most of the last 11 years in Pisces. This is really where we saw the birth of influencer culture and where we witnessed an increased interest in spirituality, mysticism and even astrology. I anticipate some of those themes to become more prominent again as Neptune goes back into Pisces for it’s final time.
It’s a good time to reflect on which house Pisces is in in your own chart because there is some storyline that you’ve been writing for the better part of the last 11 years that is going to come back around. It’s time to bring that story to completion.
October 23rd, the Sun enters Scorpio.
The last transit that I want to touch on is on October 29th, Mercury enters Sagittarius. After having Mercury in Scorpio for most of the month, this transit will feel like a vibe shift. Communication will feel less sharp and more like you’re telling a story.
