This will be controversial – maybe even triggering. But if its triggering it might be because it’s resonate in your body even if it’s not in your mind so hear me out…
During the first few years of building your personal brand [whether that’s as an entrepreneur or for fun on the side] it is really easy to get stuck in the ‘I’m not qualified enough’ loop or the ‘I’ll start to gain momentum once I take one more course or get certified in one more skill’ loop.
I get it – I’ve been there. It’s a hard cycle to break.
But here’s the part you won’t hear talked about [because it doesn’t sell the course] – another course or certification won’t make you suddenly more visible if there are still visibility wounds, witch wounds, ancestral trauma, soul contracts and other subconscious things hanging out in the shadows. Another course can’t heal the wounds you don’t know exist. Another certification won’t help you to release a soul contract that’s holding you back. Another skill learned isn’t as impactful as a another skill remembered.
From 2020-2024 I collected courses & certifications like they were literal badges of honor. For the first few years I was attempting to build my personal brand I was still working a normal 9-5 corporate job while trying to build my brand (albeit unsuccessfully) on the side. I wanted to leave corporate so bad that I was willing to well over-extend my wallets capacity searching for the magical thing that would suddenly change everything.
I let every “trusted” business friend convince me to take THE course that changed their life. And looking back – most were wasted investments – I wasn’t the same person my friend was and therefore the course never seemed to have the same level of impact in my life as it seemed to for them.
I was chasing quick fixes without realizing I was chasing quick fixes. If you had asked me back then if I was expecting instant results my answer would have been absolutely not. And yet I truly believed that there had to be a magical doorway waiting for me on the other side of the course that would change everything for me.
Before I knew it I had taken countless courses and certifications in everything from life coaching, to podcasting, to breathwork, to reiki, to astrology. And yet no magical door ever appeared. I invested in working with life coaches, business coaches, spiritual coaches – I was the dream student. I studied hard and implemented every recommended strategy. And none of it worked.
Here’s why …
I was trying to be everyone but myself. I knew what was lurking in my own shadows and did nothing to help move that energy through my body. I didn’t have the energetic capacity to hold what I was calling in. I had soul contracts I didn’t know existed tethering me to my existing reality. I had a visibility wound from a previous lifetime that needed to be healed. No amount of course work and masking to be like everyone else was going to magically make my client list explode. And even if I had by some miracle gone viral – I likely wouldn’t have been able to hold the new frequency for long. “Success” would have felt short lived not sustainably built.
When I learned astrology (or rather remembered astrology) it was like I had finally found an access point to see what I had been missing. Another course wasn’t changing anything. I realized no coach knew me better than I knew myself. Fate was fate. My soul chose my natal chart for a reason and it was time to start living that way.
And here’s the thing – I had to go through all of that so that I truly witness and understand the need that existed for a container that becomes that access point for others – a safe space to lean into the subconscious work – a space for the student that deeply desires to keep learning and growing – a space for the student that understands that life isn’t linear it’s cyclical – a safe space where the student is fully witnessed for their own magic.
This container was to be a space dedicated to re-strengthening the students energetic foundation because stability must first be cultivated within. With a stable foundation comes expanded capacity to step into the role of visionary.
Knowing how to interpret cosmic patterns will never “save you” from experiencing the harder parts of life but it does provide you an access point with clear resources to re-steady your foundation and cultivate a practice of resilience no matter what comes your way.
Once I understood the experience for what it was, I had to learn to first steady my own energetic foundation. I had to learn to reconnect with myself – with my soul. It was like I was dropping an anchor into my heart space. To expand my energetic capacity I first had to learn to anchor where my feet were. From there I found and created anchor points in various areas of life – points that, to this day, help to guide me back to stable grounds whenever my foundation feels like its slipping out from under me and with that I knew the container I was creating would be named ‘Anchored’.
I finally had space to hear the intuitive whispers I had seemingly convinced myself didn’t exist. I had space to genuinely consider what I loved doing. I stopped thinking about every conversation as a need to make a sale. I allowed myself to lean into the things that felt aligned even when the outsider looking in didn’t understand them. I allowed myself to take breaks in the day. I went outside more. I put less pressure on myself to be producing every second of the day.
Did my business explode and suddenly become majorly profitable overnight? No. But I learned how to stabilize myself in an increasingly unstable world. I cut out the noise. I kept promises to myself. I trusted myself more. And I genuinely started to love life again.
And I’m sure there is a very real possibility that you are thinking – ‘But, Alyson, you are sitting here telling me to stop buying courses/working with coaches and yet you seem to be promoting yourself as a coach?‘
Which is true to some extent but let me explain…
I am formally trained as a Life Coach but the work I do now isn’t coaching. If this were a true coaching container as prescribed by my Life Coaching Certification program, I would help you curate a list of goals and then hold you accountable for achieving them.
The work I do now is the work of a Spiritual Guide. It’s walking the path in tandem with you while you peel back the layers of soul discovery. It’s supporting you and resourcing you as you do the healing work yourself. It’s teaching you to how to read & interpret your cosmic patterns. It’s the work of a guide and spiritual teacher. It’s part energy work, part quantum connection, part cosmic teacher.
If you you feel stuck to the point that you feel like it’s time to call it quits – you don’t need a course or coach – you need a guide. You need to reconnect with your soul. You need to face the subconscious shadows in a safe but intentional way. If you are certain there has to be more to life than the monotony you’re currently drowning in – there is. You likely have soul contracts, ancestral energy blocks, visibility wounds that are ready to be healed. There is more to the story than can be seen at surface level – let’s figure out what that looks like for you together.
If you can put a check next to at least 3 of these statements ‘Anchored’ is for YOU:
